Kelly M. Smart, MSM, PA-C

Kelly Martelli Smart, MSM, PA-C serves as Clinical Assistant Professor for Baylor University’s Physician Assistant Studies program in Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences. She previously served as Director of Clinical Education for the University of Pittsburgh Hybrid Physician Assistant Program and was an Assistant Professor at physician assistant programs at Lipscomb University and Mercy College of Ohio. She has experience in a wide range of teaching topics including human anatomy with cadaver lab, physiology, pathophysiology, and clinical medicine.

She is a board-certified physician assistant with many years of experience in orthopedic surgery. She received her undergraduate degree from Austin Peay State University and her Master of Science of Medicine from Trevecca Nazarene University. She is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Medical Science program at the University of Pittsburgh. Her PA education research interests include faculty efficiency and student professionalism.
