Ashley McCrary, MPAS, PA-C

Ashley McCrary, MPAS, PA-C is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Baylor University Physician Assistant Studies Program. A native Oklahoman, she earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) as a member of the program’s inaugural cohort and graduated in 2015. She practiced in Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care before transitioning to academia in 2017.

Throughout her academic career, McCrary has served in both clinical and didactic leadership roles, including Director of Clinical Education and Director of Didactic Education/Curriculum. Her professional interests include curriculum innovation, clinical reasoning, active learning strategies, student success, and faculty development. She is passionate about mentoring future physician assistants and finds great fulfillment in helping students grow into confident and compassionate clinicians.

Outside of work, McCrary enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
